It's Hansday.

  • And so it is. And by that I mean it's my birthday. YAY! It's an interesting phenomenon, since everyone is aware of it, because of Facebook. Which then leads to a wall full of birthday wall posts, which are fun. I thank all of you who wall posted me on this fine day. But this leads to a conundrum:
What is the etiquette for replying to said wall posts? Many people respond to each and every wall post they receive on their birthday, often with a simple THANKS! LOL. But is this necessary, or is it part of the broad American trend of overthanking?

Case in point:

Me: Your total is 6.29. May I have your card? Thank you. [Hand card back]
Customer: Thank you.
Me: There's your receipt.
Customer: Thank you.
Me: Thanks. Have a nice night.
Customer: You too, thank you.

Is this even a bad thing? I really don't know. But I honestly appreciate when people birthday wall post me. Perhaps I should do thank you wall posts only for people I don't see on a regular basis. Eh? Fuck it. I'll feel like a dick if I don't. GODDAMMIT.
  • Last night, on the Mid-Morning Drive!, we had a total of six guests in the radio room. Including Emilio; you know him. It was quite a time. I'm sure all four of our listeners appreciated it.
  • Also, Javi saw Emilio's NASCAR post as it was posted on Facebook. He did what many people do, and simply read the post off of Facebook without actually visiting the site. Problem is, Facebook doesn't tell you who writes each post. Javi thought I was hating on his beloved NASCAR and I was promptly demoted in the Beaner ranks.
My suggestion: Click the link off of Facebook to actually come to IATGTFKWHF. For the following reasons: It counts you as a visit, you can see who wrote said post, and you can view embedded videos. Like so:

That's simply my recommendation. What, am I holding a gun to your head? NO! Do what you want.
21. Writer's Workshops - Stevenfay does like to write. And he enjoys collaborating, as any true white person would. 16/21
22. Having two last names - He doesn't have two last names. But he supported Jack Nelson-Pallmeyer in the senatorial primaries. And I'm sure he would agree that Nicholas Paul Shardlow-Lehr is pretty cool. 17/22
23. Microbreweries - Stevenfay is IRISH. 18/23
24. Wine - "It's better than beer, at least." 19/24
25. David Sedaris - LOVES him. 20/25
26. Manhattan/Brooklyn - Stevenfay does love New York, mostly for its Jews, like the characters from Seinfeld, and Larry David. 21/26
27. Marathons - Well damn. I'm not Stevenfay. I don't know everything about him. But I did see Run Fatboy Run with him. And he liked it. 22/27
28. Not having a T.V. If only. Stevenfay has always taken pride in not watching much T.V. And having the programming he does watch generally consist of PBS. I flipped through channels at his house once, and hesitated on the Jenny Jones Show. He literally dove at the T.V to shut it off, lest Jenny infect his brain. 23/28
29. 80's night - What this refers to is the urge white people get to dress up in 80's garb and dance to 80's music. Stevenfay loves dancing to 80's music, and allegedly had a Rick Astley costume ready to go for Halloween (Before he bitched out on wearing it). 24/29
30. Wrigley Field - I believe this is Stevenfay's favorite ballpark. His dad's from Chicago (Although originally from DUBLIN! Tony!) and that makes 25/30 and a perfect 10/10 for this round of whiteness!

Yay Hansday! I definitely was planning on using that video somehow after I saw it on CH btw but you beat me to it.

hans. u forgot to put the score after #28. I'm shocked and appalled.

and no, don't respond to every facebook birthday! cause that would take FOREVER, and plus, some peops just say that cause they see it in their status things... lol
